Privacy Choices & Opt-Out

Rubber Duck Therapy is designed to collect as little website data as reasonably necessary. We do not use advertising pixels, cross-site behavioral advertising, session-replay tools, or website technology intended to sell personal information.

Your privacy choices

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information maintained outside the clinical record where applicable; to ask questions about our privacy practices; or to communicate a preference that personal information not be sold, shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, or used for targeted advertising.

Do Not Sell or Share

Rubber Duck Therapy does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Accordingly, there is no sale or advertising-sharing activity to disable. If those practices change, this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated before such processing begins and appropriate opt-out controls will be provided.

Global Privacy Control

Because the website does not currently sell or share personal information for targeted/cross-context behavioral advertising, a Global Privacy Control signal does not need to disable such processing. If applicable processing is introduced in the future, the site should honor legally required browser-based opt-out preference signals, including GPC, before deployment.

Sensitive and health information

Please do not send clinical details, diagnoses, symptoms, sexual-health information, or other sensitive health information through ordinary website forms or unencrypted email. Clinical communications should use the practice's approved secure workflow when available.

Clinical records are different

Requests concerning psychotherapy or other clinical records may be governed by HIPAA, Texas health-privacy law, professional confidentiality rules, and record-retention requirements. Those requests are handled through the Client Rights, Records & Complaints process and are not automatically subject to ordinary website-data deletion rules.

Non-discrimination

Rubber Duck Therapy will not discriminate against an individual for exercising a privacy right that applies to them.

Requests involving Allia or payment data

Clinical and case-management information maintained through Allia may be subject to health-record retention, access, amendment, confidentiality, and other requirements that differ from ordinary consumer website-data rights. Payment and transaction information processed through Stripe may also be subject to financial, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal retention requirements. A deletion request therefore does not necessarily require deletion of information that must or may lawfully be retained.

Insurance information and deletion requests

If health insurance is used, information disclosed or retained for claims, payment, authorization, audits, appeals, legal compliance, or professional recordkeeping may not be subject to deletion merely because a consumer privacy request is submitted. Health-information rights and payer records are governed by the laws applicable to the particular information and entity holding it.
